I had a blast, I'm really glad Tom put this group together and we were able to hang our pieces at Shelter. Thanks to everyone who made it out despite the rain, thanks to Tom for getting this all together, thanks to Graham for having us at Shelter, and thanks to Dano for sticking with it despite the feedback and noisy crowd and of course Ray B for laying it down!! Stay tuned for the next Desperados Show!!
I feel honored to be involved with some rad folks in a vision by Tom Vadakan, Los Desperados Art Banditos will be an ever growing group of artists, all with different styles, yet all after that outlaw style and all joined by a hand shake. Saturday I was introduced to fellow Desperados, Tom Laura aka "Big Toe" as well as Megan "Candy" McMahon. We hung out in my garage to talk about Tom Vadakan's vision as well as to share some new pieces and to take some photos for the upcoming website. Ray Barbee shot the photos below and it wasn't long until I had Ray and Tom V inside the house and the guitars were cranked up with the 3 of us trading off. A friend of Tom V's is working on a video for the website as well. I'm really looking forward to the March 6th show @ Shelter. Thanks for checking this out!
Los Desperados Show at Shelter Surf Shop March 6th at ?pm. This is just a teaser while we shoot photos for the promos this weekend! I'm really stoked on this line up. Ray Barbee will play some tunes, Tom Vadakan, Big Toe and myself showing new works and Primo will be supplying plenty of FREE BEER!! I plan to have 3 boards and a dozen or more pieces in the show. Please spread the word. Cheers!!
This place is... old motocross, old flat bottom race boats, heavy logs, boobs from the 60's, ice cold beer and occasionally some kustom paint. Sometimes it's cool, most of the time it's a drag. Cheers!
